About

I'm Jeevan Daniel, a designer and developer in Christchurch, New Zealand. I design and build websites, systems and products.

I've made them for schools, iwi, health organisations, charities and businesses. Some are for my own clients in New Zealand, Australia and the UK. Some were for the agencies I've worked at. I've also built a few products of my own, including a chatbot for WordPress sites, a guide for people leaving prison and a Chrome tab manager.

How I work

I listen first. I explain the options in plain language and show the work as it develops. I like to leave people able to run what I've built, so a volunteer or a new staff member can pick it up.

Where I've worked

  1. Freelance, ChristchurchWeb Designer and DeveloperJanuary 2026 to now
  2. Hail, ChristchurchHead of Studio / Senior Web Designer and Developer2023 to January 2026
  3. Creative Marketing NZ, HastingsWeb Developer2019 to 2023

The rest is in my CV.

What I'm after

Work that's challenging and creative in equal measure. Problems worth thinking hard about, with people who care how the finished thing looks and works. I'm happy to take a project from the first sketch through to the site people actually use, and to stay on to look after it.
